Indeed that is what I'm saying the aataatat just appeared on its own. I
talked to another customer today that has had the same thing happen to him.
He couldn't log in using dial-up networking so he thought he would try login
in with hyperterminal and the first few tries he got similiar gibberish. A
couple tries later and everything worked again. I also experienced this
same problem when I was first setup my PM-3 but when I upgraded OS it went
into remission. I've tried to reproduce it here again in the office but no
luck. It seems to be a random occurence. Since you feel it might be a
hardware problem I'll contact Livingston directly like you suggest.
