Taking 24 individual analog lines out of a phone company switch and running
them into a A/D converter to turn them into a channelized T1 signal.

Taking the 24 lines and sending them to you without running them through the
D/A converters in the telco switch.
The issue has to do with K56flex connections (and X2) since to make anything
over 33.6K to work the signal can only make 1 D/A conversion between the
providers equipment and the customers modem. The extra conversions caused
by a line side connection prevent connections over 33.6K
