If this is a Packard Bell or any system that has had AOL installed on it.
->search & destroy all files with the following pattern -> *sock*.* -
Search for these files on a working system and copy them to the PB.
Check the 95 Network Properties -> the ie installer often forgets to
install "Client for MS Networks" and "TCP/IP for Dial up adapter"
Check the Dial up Networking Properties "Sever Types" and remove check
marks from all options "Except" "TCP/IP"
This will keep you busy for a few minutes. If this doesn't help, try again.
