Problem with the IRX line is no STAC :( I was thinking of moving my
frame-relay T1 to a PM3 for the STAC benefits, until I saw MZ say no STAC
on frame-relay, but for a CT1 to agrigate 56k customers on a PM3 would be
cool, as soon as STAC is in the ComOS for the OR-LS and OR-HS.
I really hope Livingston designs something new for leased lines with a
higher density, the PM3 is just not the answer, it is a term server, and
an excellent one at that. The IRX line has lived it's life, and I'm sure
there are uses for many still for the IRX line, but when it comes to the
many new ComOS features (BGP for one), Livingston really doesn't have an
answer to fill the needs.

Roughly $5,700 for a Cisco 3620 with 64mb of non-Cisco RAM, 2 10mbit ether
and 4 WAN and IP only feature set. Or $7,700 for 1 10mbit and 6 WAN. yea,
I know, 10mbit would suck at full load, but show me 6 T1 customers going
full bore at the same time, if they are, there are bigger routers for the
job, or you can stick a 100mbit card in the 36xx.
The 36xx is a hard router to beat for the price, these prices are from the
current TechData catalog, you should be able to do better from the likes
of Jake or Solunet.
