The original problem was that I wanted to see the network shares on the
NT server while dialed into the portmaster. I tried all the suggestions
sent, to no avail. We are not running DNS, and do not run DHCP, so all
IP addresses are assigned permanantly. What I did, was add the assigned
IP address into the TCP/IP settings that were bound to the Dial-up
adapter, and things started showing up in network neighborhood.
Now my new question is this: Can I avoid having to do this if I were to
run DNS?
