(PM) What does error mean?

Hi,

I was looking at the modems (using show modem) and the following line
came up:

M10 S10 ERROR 31200 V42BIS LAPM 189 0 CIRCUIT
DISCONNECT.

What does the "ERROR" indicate? The user was disconnected right
after this appeared. The message has gone away, but I'm just curious if
this indicates a bigger problem or something.
