That is odd. You need to find some better computer stores. Null modem
cables are pretty common. :-)

If the back of your PC has a DB25 serial connection then you will not need
the DB25<->DB9 adapter. Most PC's now being built have only DB9 or a
combination of the two (COM1/DB9 & COM2/DB25). So usually you need one. I
don't recall exactly how the manual words it, I'll have to check and see -
it may need to be clarified.

Yes if it says "Null Modem" cable then it will work without any problems.
