I think he must be talking about aliases. And some people have not
configured their sendmail to strip off the host name so you get mail sent
OUT from joeblow@mail.domain.com instead of joeblow@domain.com, but you
just fix that by subscribing with what your mailer sends out.
Or maybe the poster doesn't know that mail servers can simply grep the
member-list file for the incoming address.
