(PM) PM3 & reset D channel - OUT OF SERVICE

Dear Portmaster Community:
Twice in the past week I've had to reboot my PM3. This has created a
problem with the BellSouth EWSD switch, which has taken an average of
24-36 hours to correct. This is simply unacceptable in my book as far as
an "out-of-service" condition.

Whenever I reboot the system, or shut it down, and bring it back up, the
Line0 shows a good signal. In one case, all my channels on that PRI
(S0-S22) show NO-SERVICE. When I dial the tel # for the PRI, I get a
BUSY. In another case of a shutdown, all my channels (S0-S22) show IDLE,
but I still get a BUSY. In both cases the BS technicians told me that the
EWSD and PM3 aren't sending D-Frames to each other, because they have
gotten OUT OF SYNC. The BS technician usually will go in and reset the
EWSD switch and all will be corrected. The problem here is that I have to
depend on BELLSOUTH to reset their SWITCH, everytime I do a REBOOT!? I
talked to the BS tech, and he says that if my equipment would allow me to
reset the D channel, that would more than likely restore service to the
PM3. Question is: How do I reset the D-channel in such an unlikely
event? Why doesn't the D-channel get reset automatically?
