Using &F1&K0 ( which disables compression which yeilds
LAPM/NONE on the pm3 sho sXX) works better for speed
than using s15=128 on the USR's ( which disables v.42bis and yeilds
MNP/MNP5 on the pm3 sho sXX), at least on our system.
So the error appears to be in the compression, rather
than the EC stuff in the 42/42bis. Can anyone else
verify this?
