The line finally came UP about 30 minutes later after my last message here.
However, when I tried dialing the PM3's hunt group, all I got was a busy
signal. I finally gave up and went to bed.
When I came in this morning, I did a "sh mo" and got this:

When I got the telco on the phone, they said that several lines showed an
"in service busy" and all the other lines showed an "in service lock-out."
He said that's why I got a busy when dialing in. He also said the lines
that are showing as CONNECT above are producing modem tones.
Telco went off to check the provisioning and hasn't got back yet.
I rebooted the PM3 and at first all the modems showed READY but when I
checked about an hour later, I was getting the same results as
above...however it seems that the connections are cycling, i.e.:
Mdm Port Status Speed Compression Protocol Calls Retrain Disconnect

Has anyone seen this behavior before and is there anything alse I could
tell GTE to help them get this right? I believe I'm configured correctly
on this end...
Oh...and the ComOS is 3.7 and the new modems are installed...
