I believe the portmaster 2 will allow you to view the IP traffic on a
specified port. I want to find out the IP address of a server push site
and filter it so specific users cannot leave their computers on watching
pointcast while they go home for the weekend.

I want to monitor a specific port, like 14 on my portmaster and see
where the data is coming from. It is probably done with the add filter
command but the example in the book doesnt cover a specific port or the
format for specifing a ip address/subnet mask for the destination to be
monitored.

Monitoring everything is not an option as it reboots the portmaster.

(pointcast may be a bad example)

After you turn it on, how do you turn it off?
