Probably the other side tries to assign _you_ your local IP-Address
_and_ their remote address, rather than only telling you the remote IP.
Have you switched PPP debugging on?
I tried a connection from one PM3 port to the same PM3, other port.
About the following was set up:
pm-local-ip 192.168.1.2
global-ip-pool 192.168.250.0
user ppp
dest-ip assigned
protocol ppp
password ppp
location dd
dest-ip negotiated
user ppp
password ppp
Then, if I manually dial to location dd, I see a bunch of
CONFIG_REQUEST's and CONFIG_NAK's.
IMHO the following occured:
caller destination
call ------------->
<------------- connect
user ------------->
password ------------->
<------------- your IP is 192.168.250.4
<------------- my IP is 192.168.1.2
ok for your IP
(192.168.1.2)
(as dest ip) ------------->
don't like to
learn my own ip
(192.168.250.4)----------->
your IP is ....
<------------- my IP is ...
ok for ... -------------->
don't like ..
*** With static IP's it works.
