Re: Upgrade to 56k and 3.7 causing disconnects (fwd)

I agree with Megazone the code in b20 is the same as 3.7, however,,,,,

We had connection problems with customers the moment we FLASHED to b20. We
stayed with b20 for about 30 days or so, and tried (without success)
several Livingston "workarounds", including getting the customer the latest
code for their modems. (We had to get it for them as they could not get
online.

We then FLASHED to 3.7 in hopes we would solve the connection problems.
NOPE! Didn't work, because, as MZ has stated, the code in b20 and 3.7 is
virtually the same...

Three days ago FLASHED back to b6 and those same members (the ones who
stuck it out) who could not get online can get online again. Hmmm...

Had sent Livingston support mail, and finally got fed up with all the mail
here and called them yesterday (Friday, ticket No. 042557). The Support guy
acknowledge Livingston is quickly becoming aware of a problem in the code
and it is a priority matter. He advised I should here something back from
them by Monday, we shall see.

So far we have lost about 18-22 customers, (which equates to about
CDN$6000.00 in lost annual revenue, or about US$3.95 with the current
exchange ;-) who have gone to the competition because the same modem that
could no longer connect to our PM3's with b20 or 3.7 connected just fine
with "those other guys".

Now we are #330 for the 56K cards, they won't work without 3.7 and yet 3.7
(as far as we are concerned) just DON'T work, what is one to do?
