I see this happen regularly with our equipment, a mix of PM2e's and IRX-114's.
(Never bothered to monitor the OR-U's on the far end of our ISDN connections.

I'll get this same error message from time to time. As far as I can tell, the
SNMP replies have a lower priority than the other things the units do, and we'd
either need to have a longer timeout on MRTG's SNMP poller, or the LE units
need to respond faster. I happen to think that the priority is correct; the
SNMP poll is nice, but if there's more important work for the PM/IRX to be doing,
like moving packets, then I want it to do that!

I will say, though, that I can't remember any time when the Cisco 2501 I poll
has ever caused this error.
