we have a PM3 sitting here and accepting a variety of dial in users.
Some of them are using addresses from a pool which works (though having
more pools to use from would be nice).
Now we tried to service a customer on that unit who dials in and uses
a fixed address from a different class B network. The connection to the
portmaster is ok, but there is nothing like a proxy arp entry generated.
I solved this particular one with static routes (can't use OSPF yet for
technical reasons), but I would rather have this work differently, e.g.
the user gets a proxy arp entry if he dials in, and this is then removed
when he disconnects. I'd like to have this done in accordance to what
I specify for the client in the RADIUS user file.
One attempt to solve the problem was to try to define a location for this
client. The result was that he couldn't even connect, getting flooded with
ICMP send errors.
Any ideas?
Thank you!
Regards,
Toni.
