I asked this same question a while back. Some commands can get the
operator into trouble if set on all ports, such as

set all device /dev/ttyrf

Since each port would need a unique device. Other commands do not make
sense with 'all' <<Mind fade>> I'm unable to think of a good example right
now.

However, if a command has application for use with 'all',
and by using 'all' the user isn't doing something bad,
and it would help the operator
then a RFE for that command to work with 'all' should be made.
