Seems a lot like the problem we had with these same "toy" boxes.
A client of ours had one and wanted to connect to our PM3. After a long
and dubious process the vendor took it back and geve his private one with the
newest firmware version.

That fixed the problem.

Note that these boxes don't have the CiscoOS inside but something they got
with the box.
