56K modem code is not available. If you want to buy it from Rockwell
or Lucent you have to buy the entire package - silicon and the code to
run it on.
The other option was to write K56flex code OURSELVES, from scratch.
Considering all of the problems Lucent and Rockwell have had getting their
code to work together, work with other modems, etc, that would probably
have been harsh.
Bay Networks is doing it this way. Coding K56flex for the existing 5399
DSP blades.
