That is NORMAL on any ComOS before 3.5.1b20. We just didn't answer MS's
tracert.

Check the cabling first, since that's the simplest. Then you might want
to have the telco test the line.
You could reboot the unit and watch more carefully to see how the error
counter grows. You might have a lot of errors logged from something that
no longer exists.
