Idle Users and in/out packets

Has someone out there written any scripts to check all S ports on a pm2e
or pm3 to verify if someone is sitting idle and doing either a keep alive
ping, or check mail ever couple of mins to beat a idle time out counter?

I think Livingston should have something like this available on their PM
products, also have a setting that if a port does not transmit X number of
k in X number of mins, reset the port.

Its a growing concern these days with all sorts of things to beat an idle
timer.

If no one has written such a beast I may attempt it and keep track of who
is doing it..
