Are you sure that it is an RS232 BRK, by that I mean, if you are in the
middle of a power-up/reboot, could it be a hardware reset pulse. (although
50ms is kinda wide). Have never seen the schematics, but seems possible.

If it is a hardware thing, even the source wont help you. How are you at
digital design? You could probably whip out a box to filter the BRK
signal within some window around the power loss. OR, if <very big if> you
could get the schematics, you could probably piggyback a couple of gates
on your UARTs, connected to the reset lines with a one shot...
Or am I just showing my age...

Can you disable that mode? Unless something REALLY strange is going on,
you should never need it on your sparcs. Mine never goes down, so access
to the bootstrap loader is never needed.
