Recently had a Compuserve problem. A client trying to connect decided he
didn't want to use Compuserve anymore and selected me as his ISP. He
had deleted Compuserve from his drive. We went thru the setup procedure
as I have done several hundred times and when he tried to connect he
would get tone then a message that a piece of dial-up networking was
missing. Uninstalled everything and reinstalled DUN, dialup addapter,
and TCP/IP. Same problem. I gave him the number of another ISP. Still
a disconnect with the same error message. I threw in the towel after an
hour. He decided to see if he could get Compuserve to work again. He
reinstalled it.
Compuserve still works. He tried me again. Joy! It worked.
Another satisified customer. Miller time.
