Unassigned interface for ppp

I have a pm 2e 30 configurated for ppp dialin, but my async port
look like this:

Interface: Unassigned (PPP,Listen) (PPP,Quiet)

instead of:

Interface: ptp2 (PPP,Routing,Compress)

So, how can i do it to get "ptp2" instead of "unassigned"?
