disable X2?

Greetings all;

Just upgraded to 56k/ComOS3.7.
Have a user with an USR X2 internal in a gateway 2000.
Previous to this upgrade, the connection was no problem; but now
modems fail to connect. Does anyone have a string to disable X2
in the users modem?
