I haven't yet recieved my modems for swap-out, but I did order two
pm-3s under the trade-in and they arrived with 56Kbps modems in them.
I used their modems to upgrade my existing pm-3s ... all seems well
so far. I purchased three modems to test connections with. The
Zoom/FaxModem56Kx __does__ come with v1.0 software, and __does__
connect at 51Kbps from my home. The other modems I picked up are a
Hayes and a Mororola; neither work with the shipping software, and
neither have new software available yet. I did have to power cycle
my pm-3s to get the modems to initialize correctly.
