What is on line 0 and what is on line 1? Is line 0 a PRI, CT1 etc =
and also line 1.
The yellow alarm is an all 1's signal coming in from the network. =
This is generated when a piece of intelligent equipment sees a =
loss of signal (red alarm).=20
The loss of sync says that the port lost it's refernence to the =
frames coming in on the port. In other words, it saw the signal =
coming in, but could not distinguish where the framing bits were =
or the framing bits were not in the place the port expected to see =
them.=20
Bipolar violations indicate that the port saw a bit at one =
polarity and the next bit was at the same polarity as opposed to =
the opposite polarity as it should be. In other words, the line =
saw a positive voltage (or negative) and the next bit, which =
should be of the opposite voltage, was a positive (or negative) =
and it should have been negative (or positive if you started with =
negative voltages).
CRC errors indicate that the bits that came in as the port =
interpreted them, failed the cyclic redundancy check, specifically =
the CRC 6 check.=20
Multiframe sync. I sent an e-mail to support asking what this =
meant exactly, but I never received a response. So here is what I =
*think* it means. I beleive it to mean that the port lost it's =
place counting bits. When the bitstream is coming in, it looks for =
all of the bits and starts counting so it can extract all of the =
framing bits coming in from the line. I would assume that the port =
could not find the framing bit, or did not see a framing bit where =
it was expecting to see it. Until I hear from support, I can only =
speculate.
