Question about C0 on PM3

Is it possible to use the C0 port on a PM3 to connect out to something?
I would like to connect up another device (like a computer or other
router's console port) and be able to connect to it through the PM3. I
had thought I had read this was a possible use of the console port, but
now I can't find where I read it. Was I hallucinating? ;-P
