Once upon a time Richard Hodges shaped the electrons to say...
>It looks like I have an apology to make...

Thank you.

I'm sorry for the 'screw you' too - that might have been over the line.

Can you tell we're all a little tense over this?

There has been a LOT of pressure on us over this stuff, and it's caused
some friction and heated tempers both internally and externally. Basically
I was at the point where it was "The damn things are shipping, that should
be that" and then I see us being called liars about saying they're shipping
and that really pissed me off.

>Ok. Thank you. I saw a lot of posts from people who have not
>received anything, and *nothing* from anyone who did.

Shipping started Monday. FedEx should get things there within two days -
I hope the added load doesn't impact that. Some people may start seeing
cards today, there is still half a day left.

3.7 is in SQA. If all goes well it should be showing up at an FTP side
near you very shortly. We want to have it up for when people start getting
their cards.

That might be my fault, I'm not always as good at saying "This is gospel"
I guess.

>> We'd have people shoving cards into chassis with no code to run them. Don't

>Argh. I guess you were pretty unhappy about that.

It wasn't so much that as then getting calls to the effect of "Hey, these
new cards don't work!"

Not too bad with a controlled number of sites, but can you see hundreds
of sites getting cards and even a small percentage doing this? *shudder*

Let's all take a deep breath a chill a bit. The cards ARE shpping. The
Stac compression card IS shipping. 3.7 is damn close to release. We're
not trying to dick anyone over.
