what about just fixing the OSPF you have first? you never even reply to
the broken OSPF issues. i have a pool of 400 modems suffering from this
and livingston has nothing to say. i can make my routers ignore the BAD
CHECKSUMS but i cant make the portmasters ignore it. my network is flakey
as hell because of this. we have sent emails to support and to you,
we have called support and waited 4 days for someone to say "uh, well,
it is a problem with everything but us."

and now you jump right up to make an OSPF statement. i dont think you
should look into implementing OSPF any further until you can make
the OSPF you have now work acceptably. this has been an issue since
early january of this year. i think there is a good case to fix what you
have, and get those of us running OSPF/BGP4 smoothed out.

i want to know how many hours before this is fixed? not how many
versions of comos away it is, or what quarter of 97 it will be fixed.
we need this fixed now, right now. this issue is 7 months old! the proof
is in the list archives, and i am sure if you ask us to raise our hands
to see who has a problem you will be remindingly suprised.

our portmasters are dropping so many packets on the floor OSHA made me put
catch basins under them :0
