I was wondering if anyone could lend a hand...

this is what happens :

Starting dial to location keswick using S1 (this debug if from the
dialing PM2e-30 ver3.5)

sendthem (ATDT82935857
)
expect (=DCD=)
\r\nNO CARRIER\r\nATDT82935857\r\r\nRINGING\r\n\r\nCONNECT
31=DCD=2=DCD=got it
Chat Succeeded - Starting PPP
Received IPCP_CONFIGURE_NAK on port S1 of 6 bytes containing:
03 f5 00 0a 03 06 cb 19 b9 05
Sending IPCP_CONFIGURE_REQUEST to port S1 of 10 bytes containing:
01 f6 00 0a 03 06 cb 19 b9 0b
Received IPCP_CONFIGURE_NAK on port S1 of 6 bytes containing:

Sending IPCP_CONFIGURE_REQUEST to port S1 of 10 bytes containing:
01 f7 00 0a 03 06 cb 19 b9 0b
Received IPCP_CONFIGURE_NAK on port S1 of 6 bytes containing:

etc...etc

my location table is :

Location: keswick Type: Manual
Destination: Negotiated Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Protocol: PPP Options: Quiet
Group: 5 Max ports: 1
Idle Timeout: 0 minutes High mark: 0 bytes
Mtu: 1500 Async Map: 00000000
Username: etc

the portwhich is set to dialout is on group 5.

When the modems connect, they continually cycle data between them, and
the RD/SD lights are therefore going. The dialing PM says CONNECTING
while this is occuring.

Your help appreciated...
