Multi-link ppp on analog ports of a PM3

Hi,

I was wondering how many other people are still interested in seeing
multi-link ppp on analog modem ports of the PM3.

It would particularily be useful in areas such as mine where there is no
hope of getting ISDN any time soon. I have had small organizations such
as schools who may not be able to afford / justify getting a 56k
connection with router and csu/dsu from us and would rather just try using
two modems.

It could also be used for dial-up users who want more bandwidth from their
connection who don't want / can't get ISDN.

Yes, I could do Livingston line balancing between Portmasters and/or Linux
boxes but that isn't multi-chassis on the ISP side nor is it very
portable. It would be cheaper to just hang two modems off of an existing
Windows box (or Mac if they support it) and do it that way (especially for
dial-up users) than getting a PM11 or OR-M to do Livingston line
balancing.

While this feature isn't terribly popular and universally useful, it does
have its place. It also shouldn't consume much engineering time (hehe)
since it is already fully supported on ISDN lines.

Thanks,
