I was having the same problem and decided to blow it off. I cannot afford
to loose the last 10 pages of a 400 page document, and NOT know about it.
We just run linux boxes with multiple parallel ports and serial ports and
lpr or samba share the printers to the rest of the networks in the office,
and that works great. Plus you have greater queue control. How do you stop
a job once its sent to a pm port? You have to kill the in.pmd and reset
the port.

It was a cool idea and concept, but when Ive got server's sitting around
with unused parallel and serial ports, its not like I need it.
