What has Ascend done to their website?

YUCK!

Ok, we have our problems too - but when did Ascend do this?

Fixed width? It looked whacked on my PC - it was taking up just the
upper left hand corner of the window. C'mon people, tables can autoscale!

You know the funny thing? I'd always liked their old site and used to
fight to get ours to have a more polished look like their site used to be...

And what's with these oh-so-useful-and-memorable numeric URLs?

I won't go into the bogus DOCTYPE (there never was an IETF HTML 3.0 folks) or
the 'find' button which breaks user expectations of 'search', etc... Ok,
so I just did. Or the overlapping, 100% bogus HTML, tag usage on some pages.
And that small font is oh-so-nice on my hi-res monitor. Good thing I have
20/15 vision. (I'd use an imagemap instead of the individual images: 1. Will
degrade without tables. 2. Lynx and the like will use CSIM ALT info to
generate a menu automatically. 3. Fewer HTTP hits and lower cache usage.)

Ok - so I like the site map. I had to say at least one thing good.
Otherwise - yuck.

But that's just my opinion.
