Channelized T-1 Provisioning (fwd)

Once upon a time Chris Steva shaped the electrons to say...
>says loop start (not ground start) only for FXS. When we inquired Bell
>Atlantic on this matter they said ground start provides for outgoing calls
>on CT-1 and should not effect incoming calls. I assume Livingston says

There are signalling differences, obviously, between loop start and ground
start.

We do not at this time support ground start. If it breaks, we will not be
able to help you. If it works, that is just coincidence, it is not by
design. Just be aware of that. As long as it works, it works.

>The other matter of concern is whether FXS will be adequate for 56K calls.
>Livingston recommends E&M Wink Start (DID?) in their T-1 provisioning guide.
>Does FXS limit the performance of dialing connections?

All channelized-T1 circuits provide a 56K data channel. It should not matter
to 56K modems what the signalling is.
