I did some testing of DOV using a Motorola BitSurfr pro into the PM3.
Using the data-over-voice BC (AT%a98, I believe) and manually forcing the
B channel to 56K, it dials, but I get nothing but garbage. Using v.120 or
async ppp conversion seems to both be similarly useless.

Is there something I've missed here? I'm not using the 3.1khz BC (though
I tried it, with similar results.), I'm using the voice BC. My analysis
would be that the DOV stuff on the PM3 doesn't work, since it connects but
is garbage data, but there have been claims to the counter, so I'm at
a loss. (Maybe there's something wrong with the bitsurfr pro DOV? it's
a somewhat old build.)

Any hints, insight or experience appreciated.
