Here are my settings:

"Network/Login"

This is the terminal used when logging them into their shell account
(instead of PPP).

I use "rlogin"

If this were set it would automatically log the user in under that name.

I believe $hostname only works int he login message and not the prompt?

You'll have to type them all out manually.
