Once upon a time Greg Jarman shaped the electrons to say...
>We currently have a USR Total Control rack on evaluation. It seems like a
>nice machine, looks like its running an old(?) version of ComOS. Is
>Livingston providing USR with updates?

It is based on 3.1.4, and no, the agreement was terminated.

>virtually everything. Will the Livingston True Digital modems on the PM3
>be as reliable? No 2400bps support (- its not in the spec sheet)? We do
>still have 2400 customers!

No, we will not support 2400. Going back that far would take more effort
than it is worth. Sorry.

We certainly hope the modems will be as reliable, but only time will tell.
We're certainly not designing them to be unreliable. ;-)

Also, USR has analog modem cards and digital modem cards. Make sure you
do digital to digital comparisions to be fair.
