After you set the dip switches to select 10baseT, did you reboot?

I highly doubt they are damaged. The failure rate on PMs is very, very low.
And the odds of two units with the same problem going to the same place
at the same time is almost completely negligible. (Yes, flukes happen.
So don't start with the 'But last year I got' thread. I'm sure it has
happened at least once.)
