There is a bug in some earlier versions of Netscape for Windows
(particularly 1.1N) that causes Netscape to send rubbish to the
DNS server to resolve when it loads the home page (or perhaps even
any initial page, if a home page is not set). I've traced this and
seen netscape send this rubbish myself. If you hit the `home' button
after this it sends out the proper request the second time.

It strikes me that a lot of people could save a lot of bandwith by
throwing up a packet analyser on a problem before posting to this
list. Then we'd be posting solutions, not problems.
