In Trumpet:
File -> PPP-Options
This opens a window, check 'Use PAP', and enter the Username & Password.
Easiest to test by using "manual dial" to start. Just hit escape when you
get the login prompt.
If it works, edit your login script to remove/comment out anything to
do with exchanging username and password. Or just continue to use manual
login.
