Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking of. That would work.

Definitley. I e-mailed Carl and mentioned what'd be kinda cool is to
have like multiple templates in the radius users file and then depending
on a users group # in the passwd file they would be setup with a certain
template. This is obviously easily done via some programming, but
unfort. I cannot program in Unix-C as of yet. I could attempt in perl..
hehe.
