This alone is enough for me to determine a few things:
The PM is fine.
The host is not.
Check your routing tables, try a traceroute from the host to the PM, and
then one in the opposite direction. Check ifconfig and make sure the hosts
physical interface is ok.
The only other possibility is someone put a filter on ether0 of the PM that
is blocking the host - but that is deliberate and would require a human to
do it.
