Backing up config

I use bsd/os and a windows machine...
How can i backup my portmasters...
I have pmconsole for windows but it still doesnt back up 75% of the time..
I even have the newest copy "PMW-t21F.exe" I have tried it on wfw 3.11 and
on 95 both fail on the backups more often than not...

Is there another way ?
