Hi Folks,
I have a customer here who connects his network via SL/IP to us.
The connection is realized through a HP/UX Gateway like the following:

Class-C of customer:
194.42.130.0 255.255.255.0
Gateway: HP/UX Server with 1 * Ethernet 194.42.130.77
1 * SL/IP 194.42.128.98

The connection to the portmaster is made with a normal dialin process
and the conection looks for the HP like it wood be betwrrn interface
194.42.128.98 and 194.42.128.100 which is the ethernet address of the
portmaster.

Now, I have set a static route on the portmaster which says:

add route 194.42.130.0 194.42.128.98 1

on my cisco, which acts as the gateway to the internet I set the following:

ip route add 194.42.130.0 194.42.128.98 2

The pormaster is neither sending nor receiving rip (routing off)

The connection to my LAN works first class. The connection to the outside world
through the cisco does not work at all.

Traceroute shows that the packet get stuck on the portmaster, when I try
o traceroute to 194.42.130.x from the outside world.

When I try to traceroute to ftp.livingston com from the 130 network,
the packets get stuck on the cisco :-(

What the hell is going on. Any ideas ??????

Many thanks

Michael
