EVERYONE PLEASE READ THIS - FROM LIVINGSTON

In light of recent accusations I wanted to make something clear:

I run these lists:

portmaster-announce
Announcements from Livingston.
portmaster-users
General discussion group, will also have all traffic from -announce.
portmaster-users-digest
A digested version of the -users group.
portmaster-radius
A discussion group for Radius developers working with Livingston equipment.
bounces
The list people I have to bounce off the others go to temporarily

I'm the only one knocking people off these list. And the *only* time I
will do this is if mail to you comes back with (unrecoverable error) or an
equivalent problem. If it is (transient failure), or similar, I don't take
action.

I do *not* bump anyone off for criticizing the product or the company, that
is completely childish and I'm rather offended that anyone would think that
is what we do here.

If I bump you, the script I use sends email to the address - sometimes it
was a temporary glitch and that notice lets you sign back on fast. If the
address is still gone, that notice will bounce and I just can it. Roughly
once a week I run a script that sends email to everyone on 'bounces'
notfying them of their removal. Then I flush the list. If that notice
bounces, I figure the address is down hard.

The 'who' command has been completely disabled, so it will fail on
everyone. We don't want the readers bugged by people who would grab the
members list and use it as a mailing list to sell stuff or just bug you
with unwanted mail.

I have to bump several people a day, this list is very large and addresses
go bad all the time.
