Slightly off topic, but there seems to be alot of interest:

The single most common reason for immediate hangups with Win95 is in the
"Properties" settings for

Desktop/My Computer/Dial-Up Networking/The name of the user's dial-up conn.

Right click on it and select Properties from the Dial-Up menu. By default,
"Log on to network" is ON. It should be OFF (unless you actually let the
users log in to a Windows NT domain (not the same as an IP domain). Also,
since you're probably only allowing IP packets, turn off "NetBEUI" and
"IPX/SPX". Be sure and set the "TCP/IP Settings" (button is in the same
window) appropriately.
