SNMP anyone?

I'd like to hear from anyone who is monitoring/managing
Livingston equipment by SNMP. I've just installed Scotty/Tkined on
my Linux box, and am able to talk to my IRXs and PM2s, but I'm unsure
of some of the interpretations.

Specifically, in MIB-2, 'ifOutOctets' is described as: "The total
number of octets transmitted out of the interface, including framing
characters." Does this mean since the system was booted? The stripcharts
on Tkined seem to show octets per sample period or second, I can't
tell which yet.

Is SNMP fully implemented in the latest ComOs releases?

Oh, BTW, I don't really know what the hell I'm talking
about yet W.R.T. SNMP. :o)
